Pink Wings May Newsletter

May 4th, 2007

HI,
I am finally getting the newsletter out on time…at the beginning of the month :)

I am soo busy with Pink Wings right now and that is thanks to you…our customers!!

I attended the ONS conference in Las Vegas last week and set up a Pink Wings booth. We had a very successful show.  At the show I was fortunate enough to meet Mary Olsen Kelly, Author of:
Best Tools and Tips from the Trenches of Breast Cancer, and Chicken Soup for the Breast Cancer Survivor’s Soul.  She is graciously donating a case of “Best Tools and Tips Form the Trenches of Breast Cancer” so that I can sell them to my customers at Pink Wings. All proceeds from the books will be donated to my upcoming walks for Breast Cancer this summer.  I will be walking 39 miles in July at the Avon Walk For Breast Cancer in San Fran and then 60 miles in Chicago at the Breast Cancer 3-Day in August. I am still hoping that one of my sisters and some of my friends will join me in Chicago.  To donate to one of my upcoming walks- go to the Donate link on the Pink Wings website.

There is still plenty of time to register for upcoming walks. If you join the Avon Walk- they are extending their offer of donating $50 into your account if you join the Avon Mini Walks Team.  As I said in my last newsletter- please tell them that Courtney Zinszer of Pink Wings told you about the event. There are also great incentives with the 3-Day walks. Please feel free to email me if you are interested!

May is going to be an extremely busy month for Pink Wings. I travel from Oregon to Los Angeles on Friday for an event on Saturday. On Sunday- I am going to participate in a Bra-Decorating party in Santa Monica to raise funds for Breast Cancer and then do a radio show in the evening. On Monday I fly to St. Louis, Missouri for the Essentially Women Focus On the Future Conference.  This is a wonderful time to meet the women who carry Pink Wings product in their stores all over the country…it is also a time when we pick up new stores!

On Wednesday evening I fly back to Los Angeles for an event in Torrance, California and then my favorite event of the year- The Revlon Run/Walk for Women’s Cancers.  This is a wonderful event raising money and awareness for women’s cancers. This year’s spokesperson will be Sheryl Crow!!  I am so excited!

After Revlon, I fly to Florida for the FORCE conference (Facing our risk of cancer empowered). You can read about this event on the Upcoming Events link.

I hope you all are enjoying all of the new pink ribbon product on the Pink Wings website. Not yet on the site, but in stock, we have the zip up hoodies. They are a lighter weight sweatshirt than our pullover hoodie and great for summer evening or morning walks.  Our hoodies also come in youth sizes now for your little ones (size small fits a 3 year-old and size med fits a 4 or 5 year old). Our new leather goods are coming in. We will be selling the pink leather wallets and cell phone case with our PIP ribbon emboidered on it. I have seen the samples and they are so pretty. I should have them in stock and on the site by the end of the week.

Our pink baseball cap now comes with the  Pretty In Pink ribbon embroidered on the front.

We will have more new pins coming. We are currently working on a Snow Board Girl pin (don’t you love our timing? Right when the snow season is ending!)

We also have some beautiful new charms and pendants on the site and our popular tall sterling silver pendant with crystals down the side now comes as a pin.  It is beautiful!  Our pink ribbon flip flop pendant will be coming in a pin version also by the summer months.

Our Tattoos are a big hit. They are so much fun to wear on the walks. I like to wear one on my face. My daughters like to wear one on their arms. The tattoos last a few days and wash off easily with baby oil.

We continue to do lots and lots of custom pins for our customers. If you have a pin idea, I can help you with it. Prices start at just $4 a pin for a minimum order of 100 pins (and a $55 mold fee).

If you are still looking for a great Mother’s Day gift, we have our beautiful “What’s In Your Heart” necklace for the mom in your life who has everything. Add her intials, the cz birthstones of her kids or grandkids and a pretty pink ribbon! These make beautiful, customized, one of a kind gifts!

**Please note that I will be out of the office for much of May…so our shipping may slow down just a bit and it may take longer to approve of fundraising and wholesale accounts and to get back to your emails. Just be patient with me as I get through my busiest month. **

I am adding something to my already busy schedule. I am wanting to write a book about young breast cancer survivors and I want to include YOUR stories. If you have stories you would like to share about being diagnosed at a young age, having problems with having children after cancer treatments, adopting children after cancer, or the positive things that have happened to you after cancer- please feel free to send them to me as an attachment in an email. You can send them to :
info@pinkwings.com
This is a project that I have been wanting to do for a long time and will hopefully start this summer.

And finally…the May Special:
Receive a free walker wallet with any purchase of $50 or more.  Please write “Free Wallet” in the shipping comments when checking out. Wallets come in black or navy. Please type in the color you want.

Have a great May and a Happy Mother’s Day to all of the wonderful moms out there!!

Whats New : April 2007

April 17th, 2007

April 2007

Well Pink Wings will be celebrating 5 years on the internet this October, and we are up and running as strong as ever. We now ship to customers all over the world, including: all of the United States and Puerto Rico, Australia, England, Ireland, Scottland and Germany.

2007 has brought MANY new products. We have over 70 original custom Cloisonne Pink Ribbon pins.  These now include; animals, sports, our popular dated pink ribbon walk pins, annual bust pins, city/state pink ribbon walk pins, and OUR version of the pink ribbon. With so many new pins, people often ask us which is the most popular. And the answer is….the oh so popular Martini Pink Ribbon pin.  This pin continues to out sell every other pink ribbon pin we have, with the Paisley Pink Ribbon pin as a close runner up.

Pink Wings is turning some of our most popular designs into keychains, t-shirts, tattoos and hats. This year- we took our 4 original pink ribbon pins and put them together to make our new “Ribbons 4 A Cure” logo.  This logo now comes on onesies, youth t-shirts, adult t-shirts, and our Hoodie sweatshirt.  This Hoodie is selling so quickly, we are having a difficult time keeping it in stock!!

A book called “Foot Soldiers- Stories of the Breast Cancer 3-Day” came out last year and the Los Angeles chapter is my story. I now carry this book on my website. The auther, Dr. Deborah Douglas, is a breast cancer survivor who lives in Texas. Deborah walked in all of the 3-Day walks in 2004. Way to go Deborah!!

One of our Pink Wings customers is an amazing artist in Denver, Colorado.
I was excited when Evette contacted me to tell me that 2 of the pins we made for her are now in the gift shop at the Denver Museum! Way to go Evette!!! You can view her pins in the Pink Wings Store in the “Custom Pin” section. They are “Celebration” and “Embrace”. We just sent Evette her latest pin titled “Hope” for the Day of Caring event in Denver next month.

Pink Wings continues to participate in events almost monthly through out the year…and sometimes weekly.  We start our year with a Pink Wings booth at the fabulous Young Survivor Conference. Last year’s event was in Denver, Colorado.  This year was the 7th Annual conference and it was held in Arlington, Virginia.  It is such a great event to rekindle friendships, meet new people and learn about the latest info for young survivors. Dikla and her Los Angeles group were all there. Courtney- one of the youngest survivors I have met (20 years old) was at the conference again this year, and I met so many new young survivors. Hello to Christy and her mom…2 of the wilder women I met at the conference this year. Fellow young survivors (and my roommates for this event) Tiffany G. and Debra D. helped me out at the booth in Arlington.  Thanks ladies- I couldn’t have done it without your help!

From Arlington- I flew straight to Las Vegas for another conference, The National Consortium of Breast Centers. This was my first year at this event and I met a lot of new ladies from all over the country. This was another great conference for Pink Wings. Victoria Tashman- founder of Pink-Link.org introduced me to this event. Thanks Vicki!

In March, I drove back to Los Angeles with my family for our Spring Break.
By the end of the week- I needed a vacation from my vacation. First of all-it is almost a 20 hour drive and I am in a Yukon XL with my husband, 3 young daughters and my baby boy.

I started the week with a Boutique at The Ezralow Group in Calabasas to help their team raise money for the Revlon Run/ Walk.  We love the Ezralow ladies and enjoy getting together to do events with them. The Ezralow team looks great all decked out in pink ribbon jewelry and apparel supplied by Pink Wings. Thanks Judy, Cindi, Carmen and Georgia. Two of the Avon Walk For Breast Cancer 8 city walkers came out to see me. Thanks Martha and Renae for your support!

2 days later- we were in Compton at 6:30 AM for another event at the Southern California Gas Company. This was our 2nd boutique with the So.
Cal. Gas Company and we are well received there. We look forward to going back again next year. Thanks Ana and Angie for another successful event.

Later that day we headed to Universal for another event and then to Anaheim at 7AM the next morning for our last event.

On the days in between my events- I drove from one doctor appt. to the next. I have kept all of my doctors in L.A.  I did my mammogram, bone density test, oncology appt. and blood work. I am a 10 year survivor and I want to keep it that way- so I deligently go to my appts. every 6 months or every year!  Please make sure to make your yearly mammogram appointment!! Early detection saves lives!!

So now it is April and I leave for the ONS conference in Las Vegas next week. In May, I head out to Los Angeles again.  Then on to St. Louis, Missouri for the Essentially Women Focus On the Future conference and back to Los Angeles again for the Revlon Run/Walk for Women.

Sheryl Crow will be the host of the Revlon Walk this year. I have been wanting to meet Sheryl for years as it was her songs that got me through all of my surgeries related to breast cancer. Every time that I went in for a surgery I took my walkman in with me. Yes- this was in the days before the IPOD. The song that I listened to as I went under for every surgery was “All I Wanna Do” by Sheryl Crow.

May 18th and 19th, I will have a booth at the 2nd Annual FORCE conference in Tampa Bay, Florida. This is a great conference for anyone with the
BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene mutation.  There is no other conference out there like this.

In July I will be walking my 2nd Avon Walk for Breast Cancer 40-mile walk in San Francisco. My first walk was in L.A. This year I have decided to join the Avon Mini Walks Team. This fantastic group of walkers is raising thousands of dollars for breast cancer research and education. Great job Renae!

In August, I will be walking in my 9th Breast Cancer 3-Day 60-mile Walk for Breast Cancer. I am walking in Chicago this year. Last year I walked in Michigan. I am hoping that my sister will join me. She helped me with a garage sale to raise money for my walk and we raised nearly $1,000 for breast cancer! Thanks Erin!!

If you would like to donate to one of my upcoming walks- please go to the Donate link on this website and it will take you to my donation pages for both the Avon Walk and the Breast Cancer 3-Day. Any amount is greatly appreciated!

On September 23rd, my family and I will be participating in the Portland “Race For the Cure” for the 2nd year in a row. Last year we had a team of
14 family members at this event. We had a blast!!  Pink Wings will also have a booth at the Health Expo in Portland on the days before the walk.

On September 29, Pink Wings will be in Tampa Bay, Florida at the FACTORS Breast Cancer Conference for the 2nd year in a row.

On October 6th, Pink Wings will be a part of “Walk for the Cause”. This is a 3.5-mile walk for breast cancer sponsored by the Soroptimist International of Albany (Oregon). As a member of the Soroptimist International of Albany I get to help with the planning of this event.
Last year, Jennifer Lyon was the grand marshal of the event. She was one of the contestants of the television show “Survivor: Palau”. Jennifer is a young breast cancer survivor. She was diagnosed at the age of 33. I am excited to see who will be the Grand Marshal of the event this year.

On Oct 16th, I will be going to Pennsylvania for the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Conference. This will be my 3rd year at this event.  I am so impressed by all that the PA Breast Cancer Coalition is doing for Breast Cancer. This conference is always a good one.

In November, I will be traveling to Arizona and San Diego for the 3-Day Walks. I love to cheer on the walkers, and I love to see them in Pink Wings gear! Over the years I have met so many of the walkers who come back and participate in the events year after year. There are many 3-Day addicts out there….and I am one of them. I can’t imagine life without the 3-Day and Avon Walks!

Well-that will be my year!

If you would like to learn more about any of these events, please go to the Links page or Upcoming Events page on my website. Most of these events have web sites that I am linked up to.

Have a great year and thank you for joining Pink Wings in raising awareness and money for Breast Cancer!

If you know of a gift store or a breast cancer center that you would like to see carry Pink Wings product, please have them check out the Pink Wings site or email me with their name and number.

If you know of an upcoming event that you would like to see a Pink Wings booth at, please contact me at courtney@pinkwings.com

If you need a speaker at an upcoming event- feel free to contact me.

Pink Wings For Breast Cancer

Courtney Zinszer

My name is Courtney Lercara-Zinszer and I am a 2 time Breast Cancer Survivor. I was diagnosed with breast cancer for the first time at the age of 33 and again at 35. Breast Cancer does not run in my family, and I should not have been at risk for this terrible disease that hits one in 8 women. I am now committed to doing something about this disease. I have participated in 8 Breast Cancer 3-Day events since 1999, walking 60 miles from Santa Barbara to Malibu, Boca Raton to Miami, Enumclaw to Seattle, Los Angeles 3-Day, San Diego 3-Day and most recently- Michigan 3-Day. Family members, including my husband, mother, sisters and brother-in-law walked along side me, (my husband and brother-in-law both lost their mothers to Breast Cancer). We participate annually in the the Revlon Run/Walk for Breast Cancer, the Los Angeles Take-A-Hike, and the Pacific Palisades Relay for Life. On September 17, 2006, we had 13 family members participating in our first Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Portland, Oregon. I am also a Reach to Recovery volunteer with the American Cancer Society. Pink Wings began as a dream to do something positive to help bring an end to breast cancer. My sisters and I wore Pink Wings on our Breast Cancer 3-Day walks and were known as the Angel Sisters. I felt this would be a great name for a company trying to raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer. Thank you for visiting our site.

Co-founder GardenPaper, Inc.

(Our Sister Site…literally)
In 1999 GardenPaper was founded on an idea and a shoestring budget. From the beginning, we agreed that an important element of owning our own business would be having the power to contribute to causes that were close to our hearts. Since my sister had battled breast cancer 2 times by the age of 35, it was quickly decided that the GardenPaper focus would be to join in the fight against breast cancer. In January 2002 we launched Think Pink, a line of breast cancer awareness apparel and stationery. From this line we contribute a minimum of 10% of all retail and wholesale sales to organizations supporting breast cancer awareness and education.

April 2007 Pink Wings Breast Cancer Awareness Newsletter

April 10th, 2007

Hi,
Well Pink Wings is gearing up for a busy May- so I decided I had better get on the ball and get the April Newsletter out.
March was a great month for Pink Wings- the best part was- I went back to Los Angeles for a week for Spring Break with the entire family and did a few shows while I was there.
Our first show was a boutique at the Ezralow offices. 2 days later we did a show at the Southern California Gas Company in Compton and later that day another show in Universal City. We then headed out to Anaheim for our last show. At one of the shows I met the owner of Save the Ta-Ta’s. What a great lady, and she has a wonderful website, with 5% of orders going to breast cancer organizaitons.

As usual, at the shows- the “Ribbons 4 A Cure” hoodie sweatshirts were a big hit, as was the black tote bag with pink ribbons. Our best selling hat was the pink baseball hat with our Pretty In Pink ribbon embroidered on the front. The Martini Pink Ribbon pin sold out (as it always does) and our “Ribbons For A Cure” pink t-shirt, and our Pretty In Pink cardigan sweater were great sellers also.

We were able to make donations to the Revlon Run/ Walk for Women from 2 of these shows.

This month I head to the ONS conference in Las Vegas for 4 days. In May, I will be in Los Angeles, St. Louis, Missouri and Tampa Bay, Florida for shows. We are hoping to have our Zip Up Pink Ribbon Hoodies at these shows. We should also have our pink ribbon t-shirts with the “Ribbons 4 A Cure” design silk screened on the front (just like the hoodie sweatshirt) in all sizes within the next couple of weeks.

Check out the Pink Wings website for lots of new product. Our Rodeo Horse pink ribbon pin just arrived today. It is adorable!

The new clothing should be on the site to purchase later this week- it can be viewed on the BLOG link under the file titled April 2007:

We have our “Ribbons 4 A Cure” design on pink onesies and white onesies in sizes 6 months, 12 months and 18 months. They also come in white. In a t-shirt they are available in white or pink in sizes 6 months, 12 months, 18 months and youth sizes: 2, 3, 4, 5-6, 7 and 8-10.

The “Walking For A World Without Cancer” logo is now available on white or blue onesies and on t-shirts in sizes 6 months through youth size 8-10.

Our “Pretty In Pink” Logo is embroidered on a white or pink cardigan sweater for only $25.00 For now these are only available in sizes small and medium.

We brought in a fun tye dye tank top (it comes in size small only) for just $10, and our “Walking For a World Without Cancer” t-shirt is available in a cool denim colored t-shirt in sizes small and medium.

Our APRIL special is:
Buy a shirt, hat, visor, hoodie or tank top at RETAIL pricing and get a free travel wallet. These wallets are great for the walks. There is a place for your ID and credit cards, and a zippered area for your bills. Your free wallet comes in black or navy blue. Please mention “wallet” in the shipping comments at check out and include the color wallet you would prefer. If you order 3 t-shirts, you will get 3 wallets, and so on.

Teams: If you need a large quantity (1 dozen or more) of t-shirts, hats, visors, hoodies, keychains, lanyards, etc. please contact me and I can get you quantity discounts. It looks great at the walks when teams are dressed in the same shirts and hats..and we have many to choose from!

We continue to put in custom pin orders almost every month. Please email me at courtney@pinkwings.com if you are interested in designing a custom pin for your team, business, organization or fundraising. If you have your own logo already- that is great! If not- we can help you create one.

Are you thinking of cutting your hair? I am still collecting pony tails (10″ or longer) for Locks Of Love”, and donations for Dr. Susan Love. January 2007 Newsletter and Specials from Pink Wings

January 13th, 2007

Hi and Happy New Year!
I can’t believe we are already into the year 2007. Pink Wings is now beginning it’s 5th year and we are bringing in a lot of new product for 2007.

Already in are our 2007 Pink Ribbon pins and a new key chain. Our new 2007 Walk pin is “Walking For A World Without Cancer”. The pin is a globe wrapped in a pink ribbon with 2 women crossing the finish line. This is a fantastic pin for anyone walking in a breast cancer walk this year. It also makes a great gift for your team mates or sponsors.  The World pin also comes in a key chain version.  Tthe 2007 “3 Day or Bust” pin just arrived. This is the 3rd bustier pin in the collection started back in 2005. This pin also comes without the wording “3-Day or Bust”.

One of the most popular new pins is the “Next 60 Miles” pin. This pin shows 2 walkers on a street sign (like what you would see near a school). There is a rectangle dangle below the sign that says “Next 60 Miles”.  It is such a cute new pin.

Our snowflake pin is also in and is perfect for those cold winter days.

Coming in February: The World design on T-Shirts and tank tops (White, Lite Blue, and Grey), children’s t-shirts and baby onesies (Lite blue and also white). The lite blue shirts and onesies will be perfect for the boys in your life (a request we have had for awhile).

Another new t-shirt is a lite pink t-shirt with 3 ribbons silk screened across the chest. The ribbons will be our popular Paisley, Retro and Bling ribbons. This will also be available on pink t-shirts and pink onesies for little girls.

New white baseball caps will be in with a RAISED Pink Ribbon. These will take the place of our pink ribbon baseball caps.

We are finally bringing sweatshirts to our site after much demand. They will be lite pink hoodie sweatshirts with a Tackle Twill Paisley Ribbon on the front.

Our new high end item is a beautiful, great quality, sweat jacket with a zipper up the front. A Paisley Ribbon is embroidered on the left chest and you can order your sweatshirt with the word Survivor or your name on the cuff of the sleeve or under the ribbon. These will be offered for one month at $99.00.  Add $5.00 to embroider your name, team name, organization, or survivor on the cuff or under the ribbon. Sweatshirts will take a few weeks for delivery as they are custom made for Pink Wings.

The regular price of these sweatshirts will be $119.00 (plus $5 for embroidery of name or survivor).  The sweat shirts will be available in White w/ pink details or Pink w/ white details. The name embroidery will be in a dark pink. These are going to be a hot new item for 2007!

Lastly, we are  working on putting our popular Paisley Ribbon on white visors.

Look for these items and more next month at www.pinkwings.com

October 2006 Pink Wings Breast Cancer Awareness Newsletter

October 17th, 2006

Hi,
It’s October- Breast Cancer Awareness Month-and I celebrate 10 YEARS as a CANCER SURVIVOR this month!!!  Woo- Hoo!!

I am hoping you are receiving this newsletter in a better format than in the past as I have had my webguy working on making it better. If it is still coming to you in one gigantic paragraph- I apologize.

Pink Wings started off Breast Cancer Awareness month early by attending the Susan G. Komen Race For the Cure in Portland Oregon on September 17th. 14 members of my family participated alongside me. What a fantastic day…and no rain :) !!

Pink Wings also had a booth at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Health Expo in Portland 2 days before the event. It was great meeting so many of the walkers who would be particiapting in this event.

On September 30th, Pink Wings had a booth at the Factors Breast Cancer Conference in Tampa, Florida as well as a booth at the Los Angeles Women of Color Luncheon. 2 great events on opposite sides of the coast.

On October 7, Pink Wings had a booth at the Albany, Oregon Walk for the Cause. I was told at a meeting today that about $60,000 was raised so far for this event with more money continuing to come in!

On October 11, Pink Wings had a booth once again at the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Conference in Harrisburg, PA. I had help with my booth this year from my Sri Lanka Roommate and fellow young breast cancer survivor- Debra. The day was filled with wonderful speakers and workshops and I was thrilled to see many Pink Wings customers at this event.

This weekend, Pink Wings will be at the North West Women’s Show at the Convention Center in Portland, OR.  If you are a customer and live in the area- come on by to say “Hi”

New to the Pink Wings Site:

Pink Wings is proud to be an online seller of the book “Foot Soldiers: Stories of the Breast Cancer 3-Day”.  My story is in the Los Angeles chapter of the book. It is a great read, and makes for a wonderful gift- especially for someone walking in a 3-Day or Avon Walk.  The author is a Breast Cancer survivor. She walked in all 10 Breast Cancer 3-Day Walks 2 years ago to interview survivors, friends and caregivers for this book.  I think she did an excellent job! Way to go Debbie!

Also new to the site is our Survivor Pink Ribbon pin. This is a simple pink ribbon with 2 flowers on the ribbon and the word Survivor going down the tail in a pretty script writing.  An elegant way to show the world you are a Survivor!

The Pink Wings event- Cut For Love 2006 is off to a good start, but we could use your help to make it even more successful.  The event is my way of giving back as I celebrate 10 years as a cancer survivor. I was bald 10 years ago, but have grown my hair back down to my waist. I will be cutting off 10″ and donating it to Locks Of Love. I am hoping to get 100 people to join me in cutting their hair. I have 4 ponytails so far, with more on the way. I am also trying to raise $25,000 for the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation by getting donations per inch cut. I am over $1,000 so far. I am looking for others to join me. Dr. Love hopes to not only cure breast cancer in 10 years, but to prevent it from happening. She has a great study going in Pacific Palisades, CA at this time. There is a link to her site from my site to read more about being at the beginning of the end of this disease. To get more information about Cut For Love 2006, please  email me at courtney@pinkwings.com or go the the website at www.pinkwings.com and click on the link on the right that says Cut For Love. There are many ways to get involved with out cutting your hair. One way is to donate a percentage of your sales or service costs for a day in the month of October.

Pink Wings September 2006 Breast Cancer Awareness Newsletter

September 12th, 2006

HI,
September is almost 1/2 way over and I am finally getting the newsletter out. Life has been busy…but always good!

I completed my Breast Cancer 3-Day walk in Michigan last month. It was my 8th walk and it was beautiful! We had great weather..and best of all NO HILLS….and no blisters!! If you are thinking about participating in a 3-Day Walk- this is a great one for you first timers.

I walked for the first time without my sisters or husband.  It is difficult to say I was walking alone- as there were nearly 3,000 other walkers out there. It is different to do an event by yourself. I met some wonderful people and had a great time and was met by my entire family, including cousins at the finish line. It is always such an accomplishment to get another one of the 3-Days under my belt.

I never thought I could complete even one just 8 years ago. Now the difficult decision to make- which 3-Day walk city and Avon walk will I participate in next year?  I would love to do Chicago!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is just weeks away. Please get your orders in so that you will have them in time to wear through the entire month of October. Please remember to get your mammograms!!

We have LOTS of new items in- including over 20 new pink ribbon pins. If you haven’t been to the site lately- now is a great time to check out www.pinkwings.com.

When going to the site, please click on the link for CUT FOR LOVE. This is an event I am doing to try to raise $25,000 for breast cancer research as a way to give back to celebrate my 10 years as a cancer survivor. I will be cutting off 10″ of my hair and donating it to Locks Of Love. 100% of the money raised will go to the cause, as myself and others have been donating time and resources to put the event on. Please see if this is an event you can get involved in. I am trying to get participants from all over the country!

If you are fundraising for an upcoming event- check out www.pinkribbonfundraising.com You can sign up for a fundraising account and as soon as I send you a user name and password- you can order in large quantities at discount prices for your fundraising event.

If you are a store- go to www.pinkribbonwholesale.com to apply for a wholesale account.

Pink Wings is traveling around a little these next two months:

I will be in Tampa Bay, Florida at the Moffitt Cancer Center Breast Cancer Conference September 30.

I will also have a booth at the Los Angeles Women Of Color Luncheon on Sept. 30.

I will be at my new hometown “Walk for the Cause” event (in Albany, OR) on Oct. 7th.

I will be in Harrisburg, PA on Oct. 11th  at the Penn. Breast Cancer Conference.

Please feel free to come by and say “Hi” if we are in your neighborhood.

OK- onto the September Specials.

We are sending out one of our new, awesome, Pink Wings Pink Ribbon bandanas with every state/city pin ordered at retail pricing ($15 each).
These bandanas are great for all you 3-Day and Avon walkers out there.
They are great for dunking and wearing around your neck, and the color won’t come off on your clothes. They are also great for covering your head if you are bald from chemo.

We are also offering a free 2006 “One Step Closer To A Cure” pink ribbon pin with the purchase of every bucket hat.

Have a great day, and remember to stop and smell the roses!
